New Feature: Audio Pronunciation

Pennsylvania Dutch follows a pretty consistent set of rules when it comes to pronunciation and spelling. But sometimes you just want to know how to actually say a word in Deitsh.

Now you can listen to audio of how to say a word in The Words List. Starting with select words (in other words, just a few at the moment), you can listen to an audio clip of the Deitsh word.

How does audio pronunciation work?

This feature works on phones, tablets, and PCs.

If there’s available audio for a word, you will see a small play button play button to the right of the word. Tap the play button, and the audio with start playing—nothing to download. Tap the pause button to stop the audio.
